Breast correction surgery in Bonn

The female breast has a significant influence on a woman’s natural appearance – and on her self-perception and self-confidence. Many women are not happy with the shape, size or texture of their breasts. As a result, breast corrections have been a major part of plastic surgery for many years.

Breast correction is usually performed when congenital or acquired changes to the breast are perceived as disturbing. No breast is the same – and no breast is perfect. Minor differences in cup size, shape, differences in nipple height or the size of the areola and so-called inverted nipples are all natural and normal variations. Thanks to the latest techniques in plastic surgery, there are now ways and means to treat the shape, size and various manifestations of breasts in a minimally invasive way. Large areola, nipples or inverted nipples can be corrected under local anaesthetic within just a few minutes, in a pain-free operation with almost no scarring. In the case of asymmetrical breasts, it may be necessary to either tighten or reduce one breast, or to enlarge the other breast. In these cases, the breast correction must be performed under general anaesthetic.

Even in the case of so-called tubular breasts – in which the lower two quadrants of the breast don’t develop fully leading to a cone-like breast shape – it is possible to create a natural breast shape by redistributing the glands, potentially with additional augmentation.

Do not take any aspirin or other blood-thinning medication 14 days prior to the operation. We will provide more information about how to prepare for the operation during your pre-op consultation.

The duration of the procedure depends on what is to be corrected and whether the procedure must be performed under local or general anaesthetic.

You can see the results of the treatment immediately. You will generally be able to fully recommence social activities within 1-3 days.

We will discuss and explain all potential risks in detail prior to your operation. All operations carry a risk. As cosmetic surgery constitutes what is known as an elective, voluntary intervention, it is even more important that the patient is fully informed and prepared for the operation. We offer our full support to you before and after the operation and are available 24/7 during this period.
